Mother's Day

Danny made red velvet waffles and they were scrumptious!
Eli made this cement flower pot at school.
Embry made this at school for me.

At church, all of the women were handed these beautiful roses! My neighbor also gave me tulips, I had bought myself some last week, and we stopped at the tulip field on Saturday. One can never have too many flowers, right?! I am still enjoying them so much!

We then celebrated Mother's Day and King's Day (the Netherland's holiday--my neighbor put it on) and had a wonderful time together. It was 80 degrees and everyone in our family got a tad sunburnt even with sunscreen. This was so unusual for it to be warm, and we loved every minute of it.

The kids played in the water and we also enjoyed a few games of volleyball.
