Rubble Hill (Birkenkopf)

In World War II after allied bombing, a lot of rubble was moved to this location (10 minutes from our home). It was intriguing to see all of the pieces of buildings at the top. It made this hill 40 meters higher than it was before. It is now the highest point of downtown Stuttgart, and therefore has great views at the top as well. It was a sobering experience to see the cross amidst the rubble. Isn't that so true of our lives? Christ should always be the center of our "rubble."
