We were so excited to have family come visit! After they arrived, their first day we spent in Washington D.C. Us girls went to the Holocaust museum, while the boys + Embry went to the Air and Space Museum. We then walked around to a lot of the memorials.
After church the next day, James & Danny went golfing while the rest of us drove to Fredericksburg. We had a great lunch and then enjoyed some shopping in old town, Chatham Manor, Washington's boyhood home, Mary Washington's house, coffee, etc. We enjoyed some gorgeous views! I love the historical buildings and homes in Fredericksburg.
The next day, we had to wait until Danny was done with class before we could go to Mt. Vernon. While we waited on him, we went and checked out the USMC Museum.
Once Danny joined us, we headed to Mt. Vernon. We had never been there before and I was pleasantly surprised! It was a beautiful area to tour with lots to see!
What a great visit with family! It was so wonderful to have a piece of home here with us in Virginia!
