England
We flew into England after a cancelled flight early in the morning and got rebooked on a flight that evening. We lost a whole day in London, but the next morning we had a fabulous day at the Warner Bros Harry Potter studios! It was so cool to see a lot of stuff they used on set, even the huge dining hall and bank.
Butter Beer!
The first night we arrived, we couldn't go see anything because it was late, but we found a place serving fish and chips! I ordered a beef pot pie and did not prefer it at all, so I bought scrumptious mini pancakes on the way to the hotel!
After our Warner Bros Harry Potter tour, we walked to a restaurant to meet up with old friends!
After we ate, we walked to where the Beatles took the iconic picture for their Abbey Rd album cover. We walked through a park first and saw the beautiful sunset.
The next morning, we decided to see some sights and then head to the British Museum.
We first stopped at Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace to watch the changing of the guards.
An umbrella store?!
Eli was determined to go to this museum and had several things on his list to see inside. One was the Rosetta Stone.
Embry was exhausted and I let her sleep while the boys walked around.
That afternoon, we had a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory tea. It was delicious and wonderful!
I loved the biscuits with clotted cream. One had pineapple in it and was so yummy!

After the tea, we headed to the Lyceum Theater to see the Lion King. What an amazing performance! Embry had the aisle seat and got a huge kick out of the actors coming down right next to her.
I loved the red painted brick in London.
Pounds were so interesting---one strip on the money was clear! Every bill and coin had the queen on it. Wonder if they are going to change it all when Charles becomes king?
The next day, we did a hop-on and hop-off bus tour to see all of the sights in London. This was the Marble Arch.
The first place we got off was the oldest toy store in the world, Hamley's. It has 7 floors of toys!
This was our first sighting of Big Ben!
We then got off to see St. Paul's Cathedral where Prince Charles married Diana.
We loved driving over the Tower Bridge!
There's the Shard in the distance.
My risotto for lunch was delicious!
We then spent the next couple of hours at the Tower of London and we saw the crown jewels, but no pictures are allowed inside.
We then saw the Westminster Cathedral.
This is in a very wealthy area in London.
That evening we decided to take a hike and find the nearest Chipotle!
The next day we took a tour to Windsor Castle, Stone Henge, and Bath.
This is the chapel where Harry and Megan got married.
Stone Henge was pretty awesome!
This was the cathedral in Bath.
It was interesting to see the numerous chimneys on all of the houses in England.
We also drove by where they do horse races.
While I was sleeping, they saw a baby castle out of the bus windows.
The next day, we took a tour to the Cotswolds and stopped in 4 towns. This field of flowers was beautiful (I loved the poppies!).
The first town we stopped in was Burford. We ate an amazing cinnamon roll from a bakery and enjoyed walking around. The next place we stopped at was Birbury. We ate lunch at the hotel and enjoyed the idyllic town.
The next area was Bourton-on-the-Water. This is known as the Venice in the Cotswolds.
Finally, we ended in the town of Stow-on-the-Wold. We ended the evening at a Japanese restaurant back in London and flew out for Ireland the next day.
