Switzerland
We spent Labor Day weekend in Luzern (Lucerne), Brunnen and Zurich, Switzerland. Switzerland did not disappoint! The views were breathtaking just as I imagined and my memories of this beautiful place will never be forgotten. After we arrived in Luzern, we walked to Chapel Bridge and enjoyed how unique and gorgeous Old Town was. ...and in true Amanda fashion, I snapped a lot of photos!
Our toboggan ride was such a blast!
There's our toboggan ride from up in the air!
This height was a little much for me, but I did it! It was more than a tad terrifying!
Back in Luzern, we walked around and found the city wall, enjoyed Old Town and had a bite to eat.
Embry found a kitty!
We pulled some Swiss francs out since Evan is collecting foreign money. I took a pic of the 100 francs before we spent it to get change in coins.
As we drove to Brunnen, I couldn't help but snapping pics through the window. There was beautiful scenery everywhere.
Brunnen turned out to be an incredibly quaint town with great views!
We went to Victorinox (where Swiss Army Knives come from) to surprise the kids on making their own Swiss Army knives! It was definitely the highlight of the weekend for the boys! They even got to use an old table that was used in the past at the factory. Their knives were engraved with their names, too. Embry wasn't allowed to do it because she is too young, so Danny made it for her. We never thought we would be in Switzerland making our own Swiss army knives!
Here's the world's largest Swiss Army Knife!
Here's the world's smallest Swiss Army Knife! It looks like a little bug.
I know this is the weirdest thing to photograph, but this was the craziest thing I have ever seen! This bathroom had the sink with the toilet.
On the way to Zurich, I snapped more photos through the window of the awesome landscape.
It was very stressful driving into Zurich, but once we got into a parking garage, we walked around exploring and enjoyed some scrumptious cheese fondue! We also came across a restaurant that used old cable cars as places to dine.
We drove home from Zurich on Monday night tired, happy and exhausted!
