Shark's Tooth Island

For Evan's birthday, he asked to go to Shark's Tooth Island. I booked a guided kayak tour to the island  on his birthday. Because of Paris being pushed forward three days, we had to reschedule this for the 2nd weekend in July. Evan was in a tandem kayak with the guide (top picture), Eli was with me, and Danny and Embry were together. This island is on the Cape Fear river by Wilmington. It was a scorching hot day, and even though we had fun, we were all ready to get out of the sun when we were done. We did find a handful of shark's teeth that are bigger than the ones we find at Onslow, but not a ton. This was the first experience with kayaks for all of the kids. Eli did a great job as a paddling partner!
