Our Fruit Adventure!
I decided to buy a bunch of fruit that my children (or I) have not tried before. Each day for about a week or longer, we tried something new. The first one we started with was a pomelo. It is in the grapefruit family and definitely tasted similar. The kids seemed to enjoy it too.
Next, we had pomegranates. I surprisingly had never tried this as a fresh fruit! It was very sweet and delicious!
I have had papaya drinks before, dried papaya, and other things flavored with it, but I have never ate a fresh papaya. We were not huge fans, but it wasn't too bad. It tasted like maple syrup.
Next up was a cactus pear. Again, we weren't partial to it, but we were all good sports.
I have had grapefruit many times in my life, but I have failed to ever buy it for my kids. This was their first grapefruit and everyone loved it. I picked a perfectly ripe one and it was sweet and very juicy!

It's guava time! Both the kiddos and I had never tried raw guava before. Unfortunately, we once again did not love it.
Next, we had quince. I had never even heard of this fruit before. With this one, we were warned (by a google search) that we probably wouldn't like it raw, so we cooked it on the stove in some water and honey for a long while. It was tasty (I'm sure the honey helped a lot too ;)!
