This is how our garage sale started. As I unpacked the entire house, I would throw everything in the garage that I no longer needed or wanted.
For the next week I organized everything and priced it accordingly.

and yes...I am one of those that sells their wedding dress. Don't worry all---it didn't sell and I still have it. The garage sale was a huge success and we made over $900! The queen bedroom set was a big chunk of that :).
