Japanese School

My students had the wonderful privilege of getting to visit a Japanese school.  What an experience!!  Right when we walked in, they had us face them as they sang to us.  It was beautiful.

They taught my students how to write in calligraphy.
The schools are open concept...there are 4 classrooms in this picture.  I can't imagine trying to teach and hear everyone else at the same time.

They brush their teeth at school and keep the brushes in this little fridge-like thing.
They all had the same backpacks!
Then they played a funny face game with my students.

The Japanese students served the lunch AND cleaned it all up (completely-they even washed the dishes).  They also clean their own bathrooms.
