Croatia and Bosnia
We took one last trip in Europe before our big move back to the states. We decided that Croatia and Bosnia would be our last destinations. I have now seen 34 countries and even Embry has been to 23 countries at 8 years old. I am soooo incredibly grateful and blessed that we have had such amazing adventures while we lived in Asia and Europe and I will always cherish these memories. I thank God constantly for letting me have these opportunities.
We took off for our final trip last week. For about 4 days, we stayed at a resort in Dubrovnik, Croatia and had an amazing view, 5 pools to swim in, the Adriatic Sea to explore, numerous restaurants, and great weather to relax in.
We couldn't have picked a better place to end our European adventure. We loved watching the sunset that first evening.
The next morning we got up early and took a tour all day into Bosnia. The views along the way were amazing, but pics through the window wouldn't do it justice.
Our first stop was in Mostar. We enjoyed walking around the city, listening to the history, and enjoyed some good food. We even got to try and experience Bosnian coffee and Turkish delight. Our next stop in Bosnia was Kravica Falls. It was breathtakingly beautiful and I wish I had more time there! The water was calling my name. This was definitely a highlight of the trip.
On Sunday, we walked the walls in Dubrovnik and enjoyed all the old town had to offer. We made sure to hike the walls early before the sun scorched us to death. What a great city! It was so unique and interesting.
I don't feel like many children order squid and calamari for lunch. This is probably the effect of living and traveling all over the world. Moving a lot is hard, but at least they aren't picky eaters lol!
We ended our trip by spending a long time in the pool (the sea was too choppy that day) and relaxing!
This poke bowl was scrumptious!
This was such a beautiful place to close out the last three years. It is bittersweet since we don’t know if we'll ever be back.
