Our USMC ball was cancelled again this year, so we went out with friends to an African restaurant downtown (Madagascar) to celebrate the Marine Corps birthday on November 10th. We took public transportation and this is only one of two dates that we have had this year! We moved here during crazy times, so date nights out have been nonexistent. Lockdown, not knowing how public transportation fully works, not knowing where to go in a different country and more red tape held us back. Now that we know the lay of the land and we are vaccinated, it is easier to enjoy a time out! I look forward to future dates with my husband and with friends!
The restaurant was super unique. It had sand on the floor and sheets wrapping the walls and ceilings. Danny ordered ostrich, zebra and crocodile! I was a good sport and tried it too. We enjoyed being with friends and having good conversation.
