Quarantine

Once we arrived in Germany, we were taken directly to our hotel for a 14 day quarantine. That doesn't sound very long, but when you can't leave the room for any reason, it was torture! They provided breakfast every morning, though, and the above picture shows the amount of food we got EVERY morning. The pictures below show all of the items we had left over by the end of the quarantine. Check out all of those cream cheese containers and butter! The kids have been loving the yogurt here---they are very liquidy, so not a lot left of those. But...we have so many bagels and granola bars!

The USO gave Embry an activity pack and sticky notes were inside. She loved using those all over the hotel room.

With the 5 juice bottles we received everyday, we did bowling with the empty bottles, filled them up as light weights for when we worked out, and created towers. Creativity at its finest ;).

Embry and I did a lot of puzzles. An angel was sent to us and she brought us groceries and things to do like this adorable puzzle! We also played a lot of card games, wrote letters to Nana, read a few novels, and I watched a LOT of HGTV.

We didn't forget Nana's birthday either!
We even had a coloring page contest (coloring pages provided by our wonderful friend)

Because we couldn't get out, we got our heart rates up and worked out everyday. The kids didn't look forward to it, but they still did it. Here we are using juice bottles as light weights.

Ignore the shirtless girl, she wanted to be one of the boys!!
Here's after one of our workouts.
This may or may not be evidence of me sneaking out into the woods behind our hotel so that I wouldn't go insane. Just once.
Eli packed his Hogwart's castle in his luggage. He was happy to have it!
I didn't want to bring many toys, so I decided to start Embry on Polly Pockets! They are tiny and perfect for carrying in luggage!
I did bring one puzzle...and shipped another one. Plus I had one brought by our "angel" :). I was a happy puzzle lady.
Aunt Hannah sent Embry a book, a sticker book, and a Polly ice cream truck when we got out of quarantine.

Our friend brought the kids legos, cookies for all of us, and yummy German pretzels!!
This was our view for 14 days. Poor Embry. She so wanted to go play.
