More Crafts for Christmas!
I decided I wanted new stockings this year, so while I was in Wilmington one day, I bought faux fur and flannel at the fabric store to make the stockings and a Christmas blanket. I made sure to make them big!
I have never worked with faux fur before, so I made sure to do my research. It moves very easily, so I pinned the tar out of it, and even used chip clips to hold the fabric together.
I added a liner inside the stockings and used a zigzag stitch all the way around.
Did I mention how messy this was?! There was fur EVERYWHERE! This totally confirmed my decision to not have pets!
I then add a canvas cuff, a rope for the stocking hook, and a rope for a pompom to hang.
I love how soft they are and how nice they look!
I then made a flannel blanket. It was so easy!
I sewed them back to back leaving a space to inside it out.
I then ironed it and hand stitched the opening.
Voila!
I also made this adorable Merry Christmas sign at my craft club!
Remember these blocks that Danny made when he was making my wooden pumpkins? Here are my Christmas ones with ribbon tied on!
