Night at the Museum!

Evan received an early birthday present---he got to spend the night at the Natural History Museum!!!  Evan loves museums, and when I heard that you could do something this cool, I made sure to research how to do it the second we moved here last summer. I then signed up on the website to receive emails from the Smithsonian Associates and waited patiently until spring for the summer night at the museum sign-ups to be posted. I knew that we were moving at the end of this month, so I had to get him signed up for a night in June. They fill up fast, so the second I got the email (back in April?), I paid for and had him in on June 1st. You have to be 8-12 years old, so Eli could not go. I was fine with this, especially since it was pricey, and that way Evan had a special birthday present with Dad. I took Eli out for his own time with Me (in the next post). Evan and Dad started at a sushi-go-round at Tyson's corner---I was once again glad it was just them two. As much as we all love sushi, it is definitely not ever priced like Japan and we spend a fortune! Danny took this picture below because he thought Embry would love the peanut butter and jelly sushi rolls!
This is what they shared for dessert.
Here are some pictures of their incredible night in the Natural History Museum! They walked around and did activities from 7pm-11:30pm. At 11:30, they rolled out their sleeping bags and slept by the giant whale. The museum gave them snacks earlier in the evening and then fed them breakfast in the morning.
