I am waiting in line to board the busses that take us to the starting line! The boys are still stuck in traffic trying to park. I hopped out (because I needed to go to the bathroom soooo bad), and ran up the road. If I hadn't of done that, I would not have made it to the race in time....traffic was so bad that us leaving over 2 1/2 hours early was not good enough. They ended up delaying the race until 9:30, because other runners didn't make it in time.

..at mile 3, we started running up a mountain. Around mile 5, you cross over this bridge and look back at where you just ran. It was a neat view of the race. We then continued climbing up until around mile 8.
GORGEOUS views around mile 8 and 9 as you start to come down the mountain (I call it a mountain, but it definitely was not a true mountain...just an incredibly high hill that really killed me!!!). It was simply breathtaking running down "the mountain" and looking at the ocean.
I finished!!! I can now check it off of the bucket list!
Sweaty and tired, but very excited! My medal was made out of pottery.
